From WTOL Toledo: Police Chief Mike Navarre says the incident started at a south Toledo apartment complex when a man threatened two women with a gun.
The suspect’s van was later spotted at Sleepy Hollow Park at Dorr and Richards. It was there police tried to arrest the suspect, but they say he fled.
Police chased him to Dorr and Westwood where the van smashed into a car. That car then hit another vehicle.
Police say the 21-year-old suspect got out of the van and opened fire on police with a nine-millimeter gun. Police fired back, shooting the suspect multiple times. He was taken to Toledo Hospital where he died.
