Toledo’s Only Punk Radio Show

Listen up, fools. “Radio Schizo” is on every FRIDAY night, 4-6 PM, for whatever punk, hardcore, and grind I feel like playing. I take stuff off cassette, vinyl (record), and digital formats and broadcast it into the vast expanse of our rather confined broadcast radius.

Usual plan of action: I play songs by bands in the first hour and then play another song by each band in the second hour. So it’s pretty much guaranteed you’ll hear each band at least twice during a broadcast.  But sometimes I’ll toss on an entire LP or split EP between 2 bands. I keep music to a maximum with only about 10 minutes of mandatory station stuff/sporadic rambling during the 2 hour broadcast. I also try to stay current with the local D.I.Y. punk scene (yes, Toledo is more than just a butt-rock town) and throw a bone your way whenever a show comes up.

Punk so good you’ll slap yo’ mama.

P.P.S. I also have a Youtube channel.

  • Yeah man, I titled my show after a Rudimentary Peni song and play them throughout the broadcast as sort of an interlude. You can always listen live on our new web stream if you’re not in the area. Maybe you can rig up a Pringles can antenna to your indie-cred MacBook and creep through the ‘burbs for loose wi-fi if your motorized carriage is not equipped with a functional radio, like mine…

One more tidbit, this is my 4th semester on the air. I initially called it “The Big Takeover” because that Bad Brains songs is a damn good way to set the night off. Thanks for listening. Cum again.

    Awesome man. Simply awesome.

I'm an old-timer here at WXUT...I used to do a show called Analog Amalgam, and used to be the only guy reppin these tunes here...I'm so excited to see that someone else shares the passion. Caught the tail end of your show on the way in from Cleveland the other night...Thought I caught a little bit of Rudimentary Peni there, but whatever it was, it was sick as f*ck! Awesome show.

    Signed,

    Dedicated Listener
