Tomorrow, WXUT will be on the call for one of the biggest home games in Toledo history! It’s the Rockets and Miami Hurricanes in a top 25 showdown.
Pregame show will be at 11:00 am, with the game kicking off at noon.
The Toledo Rockets have arguably the biggest home football schedule in their history, with Miami (FL), Nevada, and BGSU as just three of the seven games at the Glass Bowl this season. As we progress into the spring and summer and get ready for the 2018-2019 year, WXUT will be undergoing some website updates. During this time, you still will be able to access this website and listen live to our great shows! However, we just want everyone to be aware that the website will be changing as the summer progresses.
To all three of my viewers, I am sorry to have missed a week of posting.
Today shall take a more serious note: How to prevent injuries while doing home repairs or building things.
Basically if you are halfway conscious and not drunk, you will probably be okay. If you don’t know what you are doing, call in someone who does. By that I don’t mean your brother or uncle who has replaced an electrical outlet once while standing in a tub of water. Use the right tool for the job. Don’t be like me the other day and use a screwdriver that is way too small, only to have it slip and puncture your finger. Not fun. I’ve had my fair share of tool related injuries and they can all be summed up in the fact that I was in a hurry. Take your time, focus on the work at hand.
I will also note that when you take your time, you won’t end up having to fix the same thing twice. This has happened to me because I was in a hurry and had to get the job done. Just do it right the first time.
I hope these tips help you to not cut your hand off next time you fire up the table saw.
