In a flash of inspiration last summer, Unfiltered Frequencies was born. Ana had the idea for the show but none of the tools to make it a reality. But during freshman move in, she saw our DJs representing WXUT, and went to a meeting. Two sit-ins on Staff Meeting later, and the new music-talk show was airing. Ana’s advice to any prospective show runners is, “Don’t think about it, and don’t hesitate!”

Any and all rock is on the table with Ana, ranging from hardcore, riot grrrl, grunge, 80s, anything. With a focus on deep cuts from popular groups and local bands, Unfiltered Frequencies is your one-stop shop for new music.

Her top 3 right now are Nirvana, Thee Sacred Souls, and Creed.
